Yellow Peak

Climbing and access information for this peak is on Page 302 of the book.

Yellow Peak is one of top peaks in the Lemhi Range. Access is good and the neighboring peaks are worth climbing. I recommend backpacking into this area and spending two or three nights exploring the high Lemhi Range. USGS Yellow Peak

Yellow Peak is a main crest summit in the central section of Lemhi Range. It is the 7th highest 10'er in Idaho. On my 6/25/94 visit, made note that the yellowish rock is not exotic, just brown iron stained quartzite. Re-erected wooden target signal. USGS benchmark 1956, probably set by J. Clark.
